The Crab Feed raises money to train and place service dogs with both children and adults with diabetes. Managing type one diabetes is a non-stop job. For the adult or the child with diabetes and their families, it can be scary, exhausting, and overwhelming; it can make the diabetic and their family feel isolated.
Having a diabetes alert dog from Early Alert Canines not only provides a valuable tool for avoiding low and high blood glucose levels, it provides a best friend, and life saver!
Since we opened our doors in 2010, EAC has placed 44 dogs. Our goal is to double our dog placement from last year. Help us achieve that goal by attending our Crab Feed!
This year's Crab Feed will take place Saturday, February 3rd. As with past 4 years we will have a traditional full crab dinner (chicken also available) and raffle. We will again have both a live and a silent auction, along with a Fund-A-Need event.
